Setup & Guides
Everything you need to set up Ready and start sending — matched to the current app. Your sidebar has Home, Inbox, Campaigns, Contacts, and Automations up top, then Reports, Registration, and Earn 30%; account settings are behind the gear.
Overview
Ready is a business texting platform built for reliable, high-volume SMS at competitive rates. It tracks every text, reply, and opt-out against the contact, and handles the parts most teams get stuck on: carrier (10DLC) registration, number provisioning, and compliance.
- One-to-one texting in the Inbox
- Bulk blasts in Campaigns, with A/B testing and drip pacing
- Automations — drip sequences, keyword auto-replies, and AI reply agents
- Contacts with pipeline, Smart Lists, and custom fields
- Reports: delivery rates, message logs, and per-number health
- Auto-rebill so you never run out of balance mid-send
Quickstart
Get from zero to your first text in about five minutes.
- Go to app.tryready.com/signup and create your account with email or Google.
- You'll land on Home. New accounts start on a trial capped at 500 texts/month — a card on file may be required, and sends draw from your balance.
- Open the Registration tab and complete carrier registration to remove the 500/mo cap and drop to the lowest per-text rates.
- Add people in Contacts (Import CSV), then send a bulk blast from Campaigns → New blast — or text one person from the Inbox.
GoHighLevel setup
Ready is published in the GoHighLevel marketplace. Installing it makes Ready your SMS provider for a sub-account — existing automations, workflows, and triggers that send SMS will route through Ready with no workflow changes.
Install from the marketplace
- Open the GHL marketplace and search for "Ready".
- Click Install and authorize the connection.
- Select the sub-account(s) you want to connect.
- Ready appears in your sidebar — click it to open the dashboard.
Switch the Telephony Provider
- Open Settings → Phone System
- Click the "Additional Settings" tab
- Open the "Telephony Provider" tab
- Select Ready, then click Save

Inbox
The Inbox is your shared, two-way texting hub. To text one person, open the Inbox and start a new conversation (or message them from their profile in Contacts). Reply in real time, and filter or assign threads to teammates — every message ties back to the contact automatically. New to the account? Start a new conversation to your own number to watch a send land on your phone.
Campaigns
Bulk texting lives in the Campaigns tab. Click New campaign (also labeled New blast, or start one from Home) to open the campaign builder — a guided 4-step wizard that takes you from audience to launch:
- Who are you texting? — pick recipients: upload a CSV, choose a Smart List, or filter by conditions.
- What are you sending? — write your message with the composer tools (below), and use Add a follow-up step to turn a one-off into a multi-step sequence.
- When should it go out? — send now or schedule a date, time, and timezone; flip on Drip texts over time to pace delivery (e.g. up to X texts per hour or day).
- Ready to launch? — a review summary with the exact recipient count and consent confirmation before anything sends.
In the message step you can {··} Insert field for merge fields like {{first_name}}, load a Template, Add variety to A/B test variants, or Attach media (MMS). Save reusable messages as Templates (Settings → Templates).
Walkthrough: send a campaign4 steps
- In Campaigns, click New campaign (or New blast). The builder opens on "Who are you texting?" — pick recipients: Import a CSV, a Smart List, or filter by conditions, then Continue.
- "What are you sending?" — write your message. Use {··} Insert field for merge fields, Templates for saved messages, or Add variety to A/B test. Add Add a follow-up step to make it a sequence.
- "When should it go out?" — send now or schedule a date, time, and timezone. Flip on Drip texts over time to pace delivery.
- "Ready to launch?" — check the review summary (recipient count + consent), then launch. You'll see "Campaign is live" once it's on its way.
Personalization & segments
Use merge fields like {{first_name}} to personalize messages; Ready fills them per recipient at send time.
A segment is a 160-character portion of a message. Messages under 160 characters are 1 segment; longer messages split into more (messages with emoji or special characters fit fewer characters per segment). The character counter shows the exact segment count before you send — and billing is per segment, so segment count matters.
Ask AI
The Ask AI search in the top bar answers "how do I…" questions and jumps you straight to the right place in the app. For hands-off replies, AI reply agents can handle inbound texts for you — set them up under Automations → Agents.
Automations
Set-it-and-forget-it flows live in the Automations tab. Choose Draft with AI, Build it yourself, or start from a proven template — New lead follow-up, Win-back sequence, or Keyword auto-reply. Add time delays between steps and enroll contacts; Ready runs the sequence 24/7. This is also where AI reply agents handle inbound replies for you.
Walkthrough: build an automation5 steps
- In Automations, click + Build it yourself — or ✦ Draft with AI, or start from a template (New lead follow-up, Win-back sequence, Keyword auto-reply).
- The builder opens. Set the WHEN trigger card (e.g. "A new contact is added", or a keyword reply).
- Click the + under the trigger and drag steps from the left panel onto the canvas: Send SMS, Send template, delays, Add tag, Move pipeline stage, Book appointment, Enroll in sequence, and more.
- Open the Enrollment tab to choose who enters the flow.
- Hit ▷ Test workflow, flip the switch from Paused to active, then click Save.
Contacts
The Contacts tab is your CRM. Its sub-views are Contacts, Pipeline, Smart Lists, and Custom fields. Add people one at a time with Add contact or in bulk with Import CSV; manage pipeline stages and lead scoring, build Smart Lists that update themselves, and define your own Custom fields. Every text, reply, and opt-out is tracked against the contact.
Walkthrough: import contacts from a CSV3 steps
- In the Contacts tab, click ⬆ Import CSV (top-right).
- In the Import contacts window, click Choose a file — or drag your file onto the drop zone. Use a CSV with a phone column; Ready auto-maps the columns, dedupes, and scrubs for you (up to 100 MB, and you can drop several files to merge them).
- Click Import contacts. Your people land in Contacts, ready to text.
Walkthrough: add one contact by hand3 steps
- In Contacts, click + Add contact (top-right).
- Enter a Phone * — the only required field. Add First name, Last name, and Email if you have them (Add more details reveals the rest).
- Tick Consent confirmation (you have their prior express consent), then click Add contact.
Reports
The Reports tab has three views: Overview (delivery rates and engagement), Logs (every message in and out), and Numbers (per-number health and deliverability). Reports light up after your first send. You can also buy or swap numbers from Reports → Numbers.
Billing & pricing
Ready uses volume-based pricing — the more you send, the lower your per-segment rate.
- Standard — 0–50,000 segments/mo — $0.02/segment
- Growth — 50,000+ segments/mo (applied automatically) — $0.016/segment
- Enterprise — high volume — custom, talk to us
Not registered yet? Unregistered accounts pay $0.05/segment (and are capped at 500 texts/month) until carrier registration is complete. A carrier fee of $0.0045/segment applies in addition to the rate above. Your balance never expires and rolls over month to month.
Credits & Auto-Rebill
Manage funds in Settings → Billing → Credits & auto-rebill. Top up manually, or set Auto-Rebill so you never run dry.
Walkthrough: add credits4 steps
- Open Settings (the gear, top-right) → Billing.
- Under Credits & auto-rebill, click Add credits.
- Pick an amount — $25 $50 $100 $250 $500 (each shows ≈ how many texts) — or type a custom amount (min $10).
- No card yet? Click + Add card first. Then click Add credits.
Walkthrough: turn on Auto-Rebill2 steps
- In Settings → Billing, toggle Auto-rebill on.
- Set Top-up rules — "When below $50 add $25" (choose your own threshold and amount) — or switch on Auto-size top-ups to usage to scale it to your recent volume. Top-ups draw from your card on file.
Sub-accounts
Manage multiple businesses or clients under one Ready login from Settings → Sub-Accounts (or the My Account switcher in the top bar). Each sub-account keeps its own contacts, numbers, and sending — organized and billed under the parent.
