Ready Dialer for GoHighLevel
Make calls from GoHighLevel with your Ready phone numbers. The dial pad opens over your GHL page and uses your browser's microphone and speakers. Calls use the numbers of the Ready account linked to the GHL sub-account you're in.
Pick one of two ways to add the dialer to GHL:
| Option | Who sets it up | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Agency-wide: Custom JS | A GHL agency admin, once | You run the agency and want Ready in every connected sub-account for every user. |
| Per rep: Chrome extension | Each rep, in their own Chrome | You don't have agency admin access, or only some reps call. It works in any GHL account the rep opens. |
Watch: set up and use the dialer
This 34 second walkthrough shows the agency setup, opening Ready from the GHL phone button, choosing a calling number, and switching back from the GHL phone.

Agency-wide: one-time Custom JS setup
- Connect the GHL sub-account to Ready. Its Ready account needs an active voice-enabled number and credit for calling. If the pad says no voice-enabled number is available, ask support@tryready.com to enable calling on a number.
- As a GHL agency admin, open Agency Settings → Company → Custom JS. Add this line next to any existing scripts:
<script src="https://app.tryready.com/ghl-dialer-loader.js"></script>
- Click Save changes, then reload a Ready-connected GHL sub-account. The script offers Ready on connected sub-accounts.
Per rep: the Ready Dialer Chrome extension
Use this when you want the dialer for yourself and can't change Agency Settings. It installs in your own Chrome (no agency admin needed) and changes only your browser.
Details
It works in any GHL account at app.gohighlevel.com or an address ending in leadconnectorhq.com. White label GHL on your own custom domain needs the agency-wide setup instead.
- Make sure the GHL sub-account is connected to Ready and its Ready account has a voice-enabled number, as in the agency setup.
- In Chrome, open Ready Dialer in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
- Click the Ready Dialer icon in the Chrome toolbar (pin it from the puzzle piece menu). The pad opens. Sign in once with your Ready login: your email or phone, then the 4-digit code. If you're already signed in at app.tryready.com, the pad signs you in by itself.
- Reload your GHL tab. GHL's call buttons now open the Ready pad instead of the GHL phone: the green phone button in the header, the Call button on a conversation, the phone number in the Contacts list, and any phone number link.
- On your first call, Chrome opens a Ready Dialer tab asking for microphone access. Click Allow once and go back to GHL.
Then follow Make a call, minus the phone chooser: a GHL call button goes straight to the Ready pad with the contact's number filled in. The toolbar icon also opens the pad on any other site.
Make a call
- Click the green phone button in the GHL header and choose Call with Ready. Remember my choice keeps that choice for this sub-account in your browser.
- If prompted, sign in to Ready inside the pad, with the Ready account that has access to this GHL sub-account.
- Enter a 10-digit US number, or an Australian number starting with +61. Check Calling from, and click the card to pick a different available number.
- Click Call and allow microphone access when your browser asks. During a call, use Mute, Hold or Keypad. Click End call to hang up.
- Choose the outcome under How did it go?: Interested, Call back, Not interested, DQ, Voicemail, No answer, or Wrong number.
Details
Ready uses local presence to choose an eligible Calling from number, keeping the contact's texting number when it can place calls. A matching area code depends on the numbers you own.
You can also start from the call button on a GHL conversation or a phone number in the Contacts list. Choosing Ready there passes the contact's number into the pad, and can start the call automatically once you're signed in and a calling number is available.
Incoming calls and recordings
With incoming calling enabled for your Ready account, keep the pad open and signed in to receive calls to your Ready numbers. Click Accept or Decline. An unanswered call goes to your configured forwarding or missed-call text-back.
Record calls starts off. Turn it on before a call to record it. Completed calls are logged in GHL.
Details
The pad remembers your recording choice for the next call and plays a recording notice when the call connects. When available, the recording is attached to the GHL call log and the transcript appears as a contact note.
Switch between Ready and the GHL phone
Choose Use GHL phone in the phone chooser, or Switch to GHL phone in the Ready pad. To come back, click Switch to Ready next to the green phone button in GHL.
Troubleshooting
- No Ready option (agency-wide): confirm the script was saved in Agency Settings and this GHL sub-account is connected to Ready. Reload the page after setup.
- GHL call buttons still open the GHL phone (Chrome extension): check that Ready Dialer is on in Chrome's Extensions page, then reload the GHL tab.
- No calling number: the account needs a voice-enabled Ready number. A number that can text may not have calling enabled yet.
- No microphone or no audio: allow microphone access for GHL in your browser's site settings (with the Chrome extension, for Ready Dialer) and check your headset, input and output devices.
- Wrong account: check the email at the bottom of the pad. Click Sign out and sign in to the Ready account with access to this GHL sub-account.
